Join Manitoba Genealogical Society in exploring “genealogy” and family history. Take a tour of our Library and browse through the resources available.

Try out our online catalogue of books/reference material and our searchable database MANI (Manitoba Name Index) with 1.5 million records of Manitoba names. Talk to experienced genealogists about how to get started or how to progress with your own family history.

Children welcome - family tree stencils and finger painting available for all ages.

The Manitoba Genealogical Society (MGS) is a registered charity promoting genealogical research and the writing of family histories. The objectives of MGS are to: 1. Assist researchers in doing their genealogical research. 2. Collect and preserve Manitoba genealogical and historical records/materials. 3. Foster education in genealogical research through seminars and social media. MGS has four branches located throughout the province.
