Port Stanley's harbour has been an essential part of the village since 1827. Join a member of Heritage Port Stanley, who will narrate the fascinating history of our harbour and other fascinating facts about our village. You will discover the history of shipping and commercial fishing, and how our harbour has changed over the years from the bridge to the lighthouse. Join David at the end of the Harbour where the old "Slip Docks" used to be on the West Pier. Sit on the benches and you'll be entertained and enlightened by interesting facts and tales about the history of Port Stanley. After the narration, you can stroll down the Harbour and read the new Historical signs.

From the main corner lights ,turn right onto Bridge Street. Cross over the lift bridge ,turn left at Tourist information building onto Carlow Rd. .Follow Carlow road to the end.
Heritage Port Stanley
Heritage Port Stanley is a volunteer organization who are dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the history of Port Stanley Ontario . We put Heritage signs and descriptions on the Heritage buildings on the Main Street. Our newest project is Heritage signs along the Harbour that describes the history of the different areas through the years and why they were important to our village.
