PullFreight CongressPullFreight Headquarters Winnipeg, Manitoba
Arts visuels, Arts visuels — Autre, Coup d’œil en coulisse
PullFreight began as a group of collections - original pre-revolution Cuban photographs, souvenirs, keepsakes, and treasure - '"Momentos" - housed in Cuban cigar boxes.Through a series of manipulations individuals and their circumstances were conjured and released. Inexplicably the forgotten, the unknown, and the anonymous have come together here to celebrate significant moments that never occurred.
The PullFreight Congress has convened.for a spirited requiem that goes past that place where the mediums are the message.
This project has been presented as different installations (levitations) before, first in Winnipeg at Actual Gallery, and then in Havana, at Espacio Abierto. An attendant bookwork (a collaboration with Corey Timpson) is in the production, launch date TBD.
PullFreight - the transitory mature of significance.
